Alan Whitelaw

I don’t blog.

There are a lot of web development blogs out there. One more from me isn’t going to be beneficial.

I am a PHP, MySQL and jQuery web developer with a variety of agency, freelance and in-house development experience.

From Multisite Magento Ecommerce websites to bespoke brochure sites with HTML video, jQuery animations and client areas.

I built an internal van configurator for Bri Stor. A live example of this can be seen here: Internal Van Racking Configurator. This project combines jQuery drag and drop functionality on top of an existing ecommerce checkout system and bespoke logic to determine fixing kits and floor components.

While working in-house for Broxap I was responsible for overseeing the development team for a Magento installation which used one installation for 6 website front ends, shared product data, customers and other features.

I am also the primary developer for a project called Remote Device Monitoring, which is a web application to provide logging, reports and connection to web-connected hardware installed at various locations in the real world.

If you know me personally, you probably see pictures of my family and me on Facebook. If not I occasionally tweet something that amuses me, though I cannot guarantee it is relevant to web design or development.

Please feel free to get in touch about anything professional via LinkedIn, or the contact form on the right.
